Marcus Johansson may have to make alternate arrangements for the all-star break.
The Washington Capitals forward was injured during the first period of Wednesday’s game against the Philadelphia Flyers.
According to coach Barry Trotz's postgame comments, Johansson was injured when Flyers' blue liner Michael Del Zotto bumped into him with 8:21 remaining in the first.
The 25-year-old did not play another shift.
Washington announced soon afterward that Johansson suffered an upper body injury and would not return.
The Swede has 13 goals and 17 assists in 44 games this season.
