Watch: Flyers’ Radko Gudas ejected for hit on Lucas Lessio

Radko Gudas could be in hot water with the NHL’s department of player safety.

The Philadelphia Flyers defenseman was ejected for his low hit on Montreal Canadiens forward Lucas Lessio on Tuesday night.

Gudas was assessed a five minute major for clipping and a game misconduct during the third period of the Flyers 4-2 win over the Habs.

Lessio, who was making his Canadiens debut, required assistance leaving the game and did not return.

Gudas has a history with the league’s disciplinary committee.

The 25-year-old was suspended three games in December for his illegal check to the head of Ottawa Senators forward Mika Zibanejad.

The NHL suspended Boston Bruins forward Brad Marchand three games in December for clipping after he caught Ottawa Senators defenseman Mark Borowiecki with a low hit.
