Alex Galchenyuk showed off his sweet hands Wednesday night against the Buffalo Sabres.
The Montreal Canadiens forward stepped around Ryan O'Reilly with a nice deke, and beat Sabres starter Robin Lehner with a backhand shot while falling to the ice.
The goal gave the struggling Canadiens a 2-1 lead just past the midway mark of the second period.
The 21-year-old now has 12 goals on the season – eight back of his career high (20) set last season.
Galchenyuk, who had just two goals in all of January, now has two goals and an assist in his last three games.
He is tied with Dale Weise for second-most goals on the Habs.
