The Ottawa Senators lost forward David Dziurzynski during the first period of Thursday night’s game against the Edmonton Oilers.
Dziurzynski was attempting to throw a hit on Oilers defenseman Darnell Nurse and appeared to injure his left leg.
Dziurzynski did not play another shift in the game.
The Senators announced during the second period that Dziurzynski suffered a lower body injury and would not return.
The 26-year-old has a goal and three assists in 13 games this season.
