The Toronto Maple Leafs unveiled the logo they will wear during the 2016-17 season on Tuesday night.

The new logo, which was unveiled on Tuesday’s episode of ‘The Leaf: Blueprint’, was inspired by the classic Maple Leaf worn by the team from the 1940’s to the 1960’s, regarded by many as the most iconic and popular logo in team history.

While Dennis Wideman won’t know his fate until next week, the National Basketball Referees Association weighed in on the matter on Friday.

Wideman ran into linesman Don Henderson on Wednesday night as he was skating to the Flames bench. He was not penalized on the play, but has a hearing with the league on Tuesday.

Following Washington’s 4-3 overtime loss to the Philadelphia Flyers, the Capitals announced Ovechkin will not attend the all-star festivities this weekend.
